To deal with this situation, the Gods sought help from Lord Vishnu. Vishnu decided that he would have to appear before King Bali himself.

Lord Vishnu Vamana Avatar:

Lord Vishnu incarnated as a Brahmin named Vamana. He appeared as a small and ordinary Brahmin. King Bali worshiped him and invited him to his court. Vamana prayed to the king asking for only three steps of land. Bali thought it was the demand of an ordinary Brahmin and accepted it.

Viraat Roop of Vamana Avatar:

Vishnu

When Bali gave his consent, Vamana immediately assumed his Virat Roop. His form was so huge that in one step he covered the sky and earth, and in the second step the entire universe. There was no space left for the third step, so Bali offered his head for that step.

Bali’s Humility and Blessing:

Seeing King Bali’s humility and sacrifice, Lord Vishnu assured him that he would go back to rule in Patala Loka, and also gave Bali the right to come to earth once every year. Bali worshipped Lord Vishnu and took his oath before him that he would never be arrogant and would always follow the path of dharma.

Education and Teachings:

This story makes us understand the importance of ego, strength, and devotion. Despite King Bali’s ambition and power, he gave in to Lord Vishnu’s devotion and humility. Lord Vishnu recognized the greatness of Bali and honoured him, but also showed him the right path of Dharma and Bhakti.

भगवान विष्णु ने वामन नामक एक ब्राह्मण रूप में अवतार लिया। वह एक छोटे और साधारण ब्राह्मण के रूप में प्रकट हुए। राजा बलि ने उनकी आराधना की और उन्हें अपने दरबार में आमंत्रित किया। वामन ने राजा से केवल तीन पग भूमि मांगने की प्रार्थना की। बलि ने सोचा कि यह एक साधारण ब्राह्मण की मांग है और उसे स्वीकार कर लिया।

वामन का विराट रूप:

जब बलि ने अपनी स्वीकृति दी, तो बमन ने तुरंत अपना विराट रूप धारण कर लिया। उनका रूप इतना विशाल था कि एक पग में उन्होंने आकाश और पृथ्वी को कवर कर लिया, और दूसरे पग में समस्त ब्रह्मांड को। तीसरे पग के लिए कोई स्थान नहीं बचा, इसलिए बलि ने अपने सिर को उस पग के लिए प्रस्तुत कर दिया।

बलि की विनम्रता और आशीर्वाद:

राजा बलि की विनम्रता और त्याग को देखकर भगवान विष्णु ने उसे आश्वासन दिया कि वह पाताल लोक में शासन करने के लिए वापस जाएगा, और साथ ही उसने बलि को हर वर्ष एक बार धरती पर आने का अधिकार भी दिया। बलि ने भगवान विष्णु की पूजा की और उनके सामने अपनी शपथ ली कि वह कभी भी अहंकार नहीं करेगा और हमेशा धर्म के मार्ग पर चलेगा।

शिक्षा और उपदेश:

यह कहानी हमें अहंकार, बल, और भक्ति के महत्व को समझाती है। राजा बलि की महत्त्वाकांक्षा और शक्ति के बावजूद, उन्होंने भगवान विष्णु की भक्ति और विनम्रता से हार मान ली। भगवान विष्णु ने बलि की महानता को पहचाना और उसे सम्मान दिया, लेकिन साथ ही उसे धर्म और भक्ति की सही दिशा भी दिखाई।
